Welcome to Campus Memory Books ("we", "our", "us"), available at https://digitalmemorybook.online. We value student privacy, data minimization, and transparency regarding how your campus memories and personal information are handled.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with our campus yearbook platform, we collect minimal necessary data:

  • Authentication & Contact: Your email address (used strictly for 6-digit OTP verification, order confirmations, and spot management).
  • Profile & Memory Content: Student display name, degree/batch (e.g., B.Tech, MBA), personal caption, message, flair tags, and uploaded photographs.
  • Time Capsules & Secret Notes: Custom secret keys, hints, and locked messages created for farewell memories. Secret keys are never exposed publicly.
  • Gift Vouchers: Sender and recipient details when purchasing a gift voucher for a classmate.
  • Payment Records: Razorpay transaction identifiers and order tokens. We never collect, store, or process your credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.

2. Photo Storage & Permanent Deletion

Photographs you upload are processed through secure server-side optimization pipelines using Sharp:

  • All metadata (including EXIF location coordinates and device serials) is stripped automatically upon upload.
  • Re-encoded WebP images are securely stored across Cloudflare R2 global content delivery networks.
  • Hard Deletion Policy: When you replace or clear a photo from your dashboard, the old image files are immediately and permanently unlinked and deleted from Cloudflare R2 storage to prevent orphaned data.
  • 30-Second Soundtrack Streaming: When playing 30-second campus theme songs, audio is streamed directly from Apple / iTunes Media CDN with zero tracking cookies or personal user information transmitted.

3. Confidential Content Reporting

If you file a content violation report regarding an unauthorized image or defamation:

  • Your identity is 100% confidential — the spot owner will never be told who submitted the report.
  • We require 6-digit OTP email verification for reports to eliminate bot attacks and false allegations.

4. Payment Processing & Security

Payments are handled directly by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-authorized payment aggregator certified under ISO:27001 and PCI-DSS Level 1. All transactions are encrypted with 256-bit SSL encryption.

5. Your Privacy Rights & Control

You have complete control over your memories:

  • Edit your photo, caption, or links anytime at My Spots.
  • Permanently delete secret notes, time capsules, or wall comments at any time.
